At that time, I was pregnant with my first child. I was alone in the house as the rest of the family either went to the orchard or paying a visit to the neighbor. I was in the kitchen, preparing lunch when I heard footsteps walking upstairs. That's funny. I thought I was alone in the house. Maybe my husband came home and went upstairs so I went upstairs, calling him. I received no answer. When I looked around, there is no one there. At that exact moment, I heard footsteps downstairs. I hurried down but the house was empty. Nobody was there except me. When my husband did came back a few moments later, I told him about the footsteps. He didn't look surprised. He told me that the house is a pathway for the spirits because of the location of the front and back doors. The doors were facing each other and old folks said this invite the spirits to come to the house. The spirits were gone now thanks to the current location of the back door. My father-in-law moved the door so it won't face the front door like it used to.
