What Happened?

I had arrived in Sydney, after travelling for several years, in the 1970,s. I got a job and went into the town one morning on my day off. I was looking in a shoe shop window, when all of a sudden, I was looking at myself from above. There was no traffic noise, no people speaking, just silence and me looking down at myself. There was a light, I felt safe and warm. The light was beautiful. I remember feeling scared, yet safe. Could I "return" to my body or not. I have no idea how long this lasted, but all of a sudden, there I was, back in the noisy street. I went and had a coffee, to try and "pull myself together". I have had several experiences of this kind since, with no rhyme or reason. But, I realise if that beautiful feeling of peace and quiet, that beautiful light , and the choice I had , to go, or not, makes me believe in the afterlife. It is a beautiful place, no fear, just beauty and peace.

Hence I have no fear of dying.
