It was the last day of week and I had come to school to hand in my course work. I had to do some extra proof readings and edittings and it was getting late. It was already half past four and it had got dark because of the winter. My teachers had left and the only person in the school building was me and the librarian.

She had gone to get herself something to eat from the canteen while I had been doing my work. Suddenly the lights went off and it got really very dark.

I thought to myself this never happened before. I always came to the library but the lights were never out. Then i heard a strange howl in the room and I freaked out. It was so inhuman! Then i saw a flick of candle light. But there was no one in the room so who could have lit a candle i wondered!

then i noticed the light floating across the room and I knew at that instance that I was not alone. I was half crying half shouting for help and in a few minutes the librarian came back and asked me whats wrong. i told her about the lights going off and a flick of candle light floating across the room. She then told me there was nothing like that and it was just my illusion. the lights never went out in the school and there was no one to switch the lights off apart from me in the room.

then I took my stuff and ran home. since that day till today I never went to that library!
