Ghost Boy

I think there is a ghost in my house because my house is extremely old and the history of the house says that a boy aged 9-11 died in my house. One night my friend was having a sleep over. We were sitting on my bed talking. (there is a very creaky floor board covered in carpet outside my bedroom door and if you step on it, it makes a loud creaking noise) We heard the floor board creak and it sounded just like the way it sounds when you step on it. I was nearly peeing myself with fear, but my friend was cool about it and went to check. She swung the door open but there was nothing there.

Also when I am lying in my bed at night I hear footsteps or something going up and down the stairs. I think it is just my cat playing on the stairs but when I looked down the stairs, I saw nothing.

I hear the walls of my bedroom crackling too and faint whispers. I get really scared, but I try and calm myself down by remembering that the house is old. This may sound fake, but believe me, I KNOW it's real.
