When I was in the 7th grade or so, I was very aware of the super natural. My family believed that a ghost lived with us. We all felt it was a male, and besides scaring our family, and visitors at our home, it was very funny. We never felt afraid of it, it was just scarey knowing that something was there we could not see. Watching others jump or become afraid was funny for us, since we all knew about the ghost and had to live with him. We named him Harvey.

While watching a television show about making yourself have an out of body experience, I wanted to try it. I was one who liked to prove someone wrong. I didn't believe it would happen, just wanted to prove to myself it was not real.

I was wrong.

That night I remember so vivid repeating what the man said on the TV show. Start with your head or feet and relax your whole body. I acutally could feel parts of my body become relaxed. I thought this was very cool. I became very aware of how my body felt, heavy and relaxed. I didn't take me long to remember what the man had said, to concentrate on the ceiling and visualize myself drifting up out of my body. I did it, I was above myself, then visualize going higher and higher, into the sky. Once again I went through the roof of my house where I could no longer see my body. The feeling was so wonderful, I wanted to see more. I knew I wanted to fly and to feel the freedom I have never known. I was flying, I was well above the houses, almost into the clouds. I know I was gone from my body for some time when I realized, what if I can't go back. At that very thought I became afraid and had a since of urgency to return. There I was back in my bed, feeling very afraid to ever do that again. What would have happened if I couldn't return.

This will stay with me forever, and I will never tell the whole story to my family, for fear that my children would try this.

Continuing with my need for the super natural information, I know there is much more than meets the eye.
