Coma

I don't know what happened to me exactly- a gallbladder made me septic which infected all of my organs except for my brain.
I was in a coma for only about 2 months. My whole family was there for me and that made a huge difference as to my progress for recovery. When I did wake up I was totally blind and very scared.
My point here today is that not everyone who lands in a coma is oblivious to their surroundings. I had to listen to doctors scream at my family over whether or not to kill me. What made it so hard was that I could not speak or move.
This sounds weird but when I died for a while there was no bright light and no angels - only my cat in my brain (just in case my husband forgot to feed her). But I think in my heart I was in so much pain everything became so surreal I was at peace.
I had two ways to deal that - 1. Its not so bad after all or 2. I'm just plain terrified of dying.
