Attacked by a Demon?

I've never experienced anything paranormal, ever. So I don't even know if what i'm about to tell you is paranormal, but I know it has to be something along those lines. This happened to me last night.

I was having a weird dream where I was in my room, standing infront of my mirror and there was a demon, type thing behind me, I didn't seem afraid of it, but now that im awake, it scares me. The demon, or what ever was roughly 4 ft tall, it had grey-ish skin, blackish-silver oval eyes and smelt of something I can only discribe as something rotten and burning.

Nothing happened, I just stood there looking in the mirror with that thing behind me then, my dream flashed to me in bed, the covers were off me and I wasn't moving, the demon was on the floor sitting down and then very inhumanily crawled over to me, thinking back at this, it was horrifying the way it crawled over to me, I can't even explain it. My dream then flashed and the demon was on my bed clawing at my face, neck and chest, rapidly, I was screaming and trying to push it away but it was laughing, which kind of sounded like a mix between maniac laughing and screaming.

Then I woke up and it was morning, I was a little shook up from the nightmare but everything seemed normal, then when I went to the mirror to fix my hair I saw scratch marks all over my chest and face. They wern't bleeding but they were claw marks, not human finger nail type marks, the ones on my chest and neck seemed to have been attacked by threee fingers at one, and there were heaps of groups of marks going in different directions, the ones on my face only went one way, in, toward my eyes and nose, again only three fingers/claws at a time.

The marks on my chest and neck are still visible, the ones on my face have faded but I can still feel them. I don't know what this thing was, nor how I got these scratches, is it possible that I was attacked by a demon? If anyone has any possible explaination for this, please email me.
