Was This Just a Dream?

Last night i wasn't sleeping very good. I had heart-burn which had me waking up and drifting off back to sleep a million of times. I wasn't sure whether i was awake or asleep at this point but i can remember staring at my door (my bed is quite high so when lying on my side i'm facing the opposite wall, if you get what i mean) then this black shadow appears from nowhere standing near the door. It stood there for about a minute, and then started getting closer, by this time i was freaked out so i hid under my duvet. Next thing i know, i'm catching a glimpse of the thing standing right beside my bed. I tried to move but it felt like something was holding me down, forbidden me to move. I tried to scream but i couldn't do that either, it was like i was frozen. It only lasted about 3 minutes but whatever it was it scared the sh*t outta me. I'm not sure whether i was asleep or not, because its weird to explain but my bedroom light was on. i remember seeing each poster i have on my walls, and the many pictures i have of my friends pinned on my door.

Any help?
