She stays young

This isn't something myself or anyone I know experienced but it is a true story.
This took place and probably still taking place in some mountains. The mountains are just like Blair Witch mountain but not the same one. There are lots of caves and trees and not many people go there. But here is the story that was told to me personaly by the local police deputy. Because my family was actualy taking a camping trip to those mountains and so he let me in on something not many people know. He left some details out, probably to keep me from getting nightmares or something.
This is the stoy behind it.
Once there was a group of teenagers on a hiking trip. They saw a woman walking around through the trees, she wore a white robe type thing and was carrying chimes. They began to walk towards her and that was the last anyone heard or saw of them.
And a few years later another group of young teens were there on a camping trip and they saw the woman, they began to walk up to her and that was again the last anyone heard or saw of them.
A then a few months later there was a group of teens who saw her here and they walked up to her and one of them grabbed her shoulder and turned her around and what they saw was horrid. The woman had long stringy white hair and her face was molted. Different colours of skin on her face and totally messed up. It was then they ran for it and when the man who had turned the woman around and realized his friends were not behind him but was to scared to go back.
The story behind the woman is that she lived in a nearby cave and carried the chimes for luck of a fierce animal. She took skin from young people and put it on her face to make herself look young.
