Hi, I have had an out of body experience recently. It was a voluntary one as I decided to practice the steps mentioned in a book called 'Mind Games' referencing Robert A. Monroe. Prior to this I had been practicing lucid dreaming techniques. However lucid my dreams were, they were nothing compared to my out of body experience. My experience seemed real.

I followed the Monroe steps and managed to achieve a vibrational state twice (to my surprise). It was unlike anything I have ever experienced in my life. It was a different state of mind and the buzzing in my head seemed to get faster and louder until it gradually cracked or exploded in my head like thunder. This startled me and made me snap out of what I was sure to be some sort of pre-OBE trance.

Eventually it happened after a few nights of practice. I shot up to the ceiling of my bedroom like a cannon and when I looked down, I could see my body, my partner laying next to me and my baby sleeping in his cot. My excitement made me 'bounce' all around the room and then I thought of landing next to my body. That thought made me appear next to it as if by teleportation. My room looked solid real and everything was where it was supposed to be. Then I looked at my hands. I thought "how is it possible that I seem to have a different body?" - My hands were slightly transparent and there were all sorts of shifting patterns going on. The hands resembled dream hands but everything else seemed real. I hovered out of the window and watched the surrounding houses. I was flying at least fifteen feet above the ground. Then I wished to get back as I couldn't wait to tell about my experience.

Did I have an OBE or an extremely vivid lucid dream version of it?
