My Wonderful OBE'

When I was 21 years of age, I coughed up black blood one day. It turned out that a benign tumour (Dermoid Cyst) had been growing inside my lungs, from birth. On and off over the years I'd had chest problems, and doctors put this down to asthma and the such. It wasnt until the tumour ruptured that my Mum's Doctor at the time, sent me for an x-ray and they discovered this tumour. This may gross some of you out by the way, it had teeth growing inside it (Dermoid Cysts can contain either teeth, skin or nails).

A few weeks after being back at home, one night whilst lying in bed, I had an out of body experience (OBE). No, I didn't see a long tunnel with a white light at the end, but I was lifted out of my body and was looking down on myself, floating. This happened only for a few seconds, but they are seconds that I think changed my life and for the better. By the way, I learnt that this was an 'OBE' from reading the X-Files books, years later. I've too since discovered that some people's senses (i.e. psychic abilities) can get heightened after having experiences such as OBEs. That would explain rather a lot in my case.

Having had such a life threatening illness caused my personality to change dramatically. I really felt like I was the living dead and was very traumatised for many years after that. I have had depression on and off up to this day and wonder if this could be caused because of that illness. I have read too that physic people get terrible headaches when people are coming through to them and that has happened to me. I get a terrible pain on one side of my head after having visions. I became so much stronger and braver in my actions after the operation and more confident.
