My Television Started Changing by Itself

This evening, January 17th 2009, I was watching television with my husband. All of a sudden the menu screen popped up and the settings started changing. The balance would go down to 3 then all the way up to the max then move back to the normal level. It would then switch to another option and do the same thing. I looked at my husband and told him to get off the remote. He said he had it in his hands and he wasn't pushing any buttons. I told him to remove the batteries from all the remotes including the dvd player. He did. The whole time it kept going to different menus then modifying settings, always returning to the original position. I felt the hair stand up on the back of my neck as I walked up to the sensor on the tv and covered it to make sure it wasn't getting any odd signals. I looked at my husband and said it's a ghost. He looked at me like I was crazy. I said out loud "Please stop messing with the television menu". Everything just stopped for about 2 seconds. The TV then flipped to another screen and highlighted the word stop on one of the menus for about 5 seconds then the menu closed. My husband was freaked out. I would not have believed it if I didn't experience it.
