2 Short Ghost Stories

Two short stories, both very true.

1) Many years ago my mum saw the spirit of her recently deceased mother in law. There was a ring at the door during the daytime. My sister, quite young at that time, answered the door to her dead grandmother who asked her if mum was there. My sister fetched my mum. My sister did not really know that when you are dead you are supposed to be dead and not ring on the door. My mum came to door and saw the spirit.

There was a brief conversation:

Spirit - "I just came back to say goodbye"
Mum - "why don't you come in"
Spirit - "Oh, I can't do that"

then the spirit vanished. So it was seen and spoken to by two people.

2) Our family has had many cats over the years. We used to take them for walks around the block in the evenings. One of the cats was run over and died. On the hour that it happened my mum and a cousin were taking the cats for their walk and at that point in time they didn't know of this cats passing. The strange ghostly thing was that the now dead cat also came for a walk and was seen by my mum and our cousin, plus the other cats were hissing at the ghost cat.
