who did it?

Around this time last year I had a freaky incident happen to me. It all starts with a candle that my mother had kept after her brother had passed. He passed in jan of 07. She kept a glass candle that had a picture of Jesus Christ on the front of it. As a memorial she put it on our bookcase in the living room. Well time passed and it was November of 2007. It was me and my 6 month old son at the house, by ourselves, it was around 5pm. I was washing dishes that night and had put my son on the living room floor to play with toys while I washed the dishes. After I was done washing I had watched tv for awhile. Then we went to bed about 9pm.
The next morning me and my son came downstaris, I put him back on the floor as I was making him some cereal, but as I was walking away from him I noticed something shiny at the corner of my eye. Thinking nothing of it I kept walking towards the kitchen. Right before I entered the kitchen I decided to look back and see what was shining at the corner of my eye, and as I turned toward the living room I noticed that the candle was lit! I froze in shock. It was lit and flickering! I walked over to the candle to double check, to make sure it really was lit. And sure enough there was melted wax. I knew that I didn't light it when I went to bed, so how did it get lit?
I immediately called my boyfriend to see if he had came over the night before. He said no. So I told him of the incident and he was shocked also. He informed me not to blow it out because it was "a sign". But that day I had to leave out of town to take my son to a hearing test at a clinic which was 45 minutes away...so I blew it out. I didn't want it to catch on fire and burn the house down.
To this day I still dont know how it got lit. Was it my uncle? Can ghosts light candles? I need a little insight on this issue. Thanks
