Red Eyed Black Human Shape

Okay, I don't think this is a ghost but there is no "Red Eyed Black Human Shape" category.

I was sleeping closest to the fire beside my aunt. I woke up in the middle of the night. I don't know why I woke up. I looked at the dying embers of the fire in the middle of the tipi. It lead my eyes to this black shape that was sitting crosslegged directly across from me.

The thing had red eyes and it was staring at me. It was shaped like a human. It looked like someone I knew actually. It was slightly rocking in an eerie fashion like it knew that scared me more.

I was scared to death. I turned slowly towards my sleeping aunt and tried to wake her up. She wouldn't wake up. I stayed turned towards my auntie and the tipi wall for a very long time. Finally, I turned to look back towards the fire. The thing was still there.

I was really scared by then and was crying. My aunt wouldn't wake up. She's a heavy sleeper but it's unusual that she wouldn't wake up.

I refused to look after that first look and I stayed awake until the elder gentlemen woke up in his tipi. I heard him cough when he woke up. With him, came daylight. It was safe. And then I went to sleep.

I'll never forget that. That was really scary!

The interesting part is that it looked like someone I know. So was that person visiting in spirit or was it some other dimensional being?
