Strange Occurences at Friend's House

I was not there for most of these occurances but my friend told me and she wouldn't lie about this.

The first occurance was at their house, her mom works at home and she had her door open, all of a sudden a blue figure walk past the door and into the living room. She was alone in the house at the time and she thought well maybe it was a reflection from something blue. So she walked out, checked it out but found nothing blue. She described it as a blue swaying dress. My friend said later that night she saw something move back and fourth in the hallway and thought it was her mom but she wasn't up there.

The second occurance they were outside and their back porch light turned off and I don't mean the light bulbs broke, I meant something physically turned the switch to off however no one was in the house when it did.

One day they were in the house and they heard a loud bang in their basement when no one was down there.

The most recent though, my mom was there watching movies with there family at night and they heard a cabinet door close in the kitchen but they just thought it was another family member but they didn't see anyone when they looked in the kitchen a few seconds later.

The weird thing is our neighborhood is a brand new development within the past two years so why is their house haunted? Could the building of their house disturbed someone's grave? That's my question that'll probably never be answered.
