Sparkling Spirits?

I am the father of twin girls. One of my duties was to give the girls baths at night. At the time the girls were 6 years old. The routine was the same every night. I would sit on the edge of the tub, help them get undressed, then help them into the tub. On this particular night something strange happened.

As I was facing them, one of my little girls was in the process of taking off her shirt while the other was standing facing me. Right then I noticed a twinkling or sparkling light out of the corner of my eye by the wall at the foot of the tub. Just as I turned to see what it was my daughter said "wow, what's that dad"? As my head fully turned I no longer could see the sparkling but just then the other little one said "Wow, dad look, look, what are those lights?

In amazement I watched both of them following with their eyes something that I could not see directly. After about 10 seconds of watching them point and hearing their 'wows' and 'ahhs' they both said "its gone" at the same time. All I saw was a brief sparkle out of the corner of my eye, but I knew something really strange had happened. I immediately took one of them out to my wife and had her tell my wife what had just happened.

I returned to the bathroom, shut the door and asked the other one what she had seen. I asked her about details of size, color, shape and movement. After hearing her description I tried to trick her and said there was only one light. She insisted that I was wrong that first there were three, one disappeared, then the other two moved around near the wall at the back of the tub up and down back and forth.

Next, I took her out to my wife and I brought the other into the bathroom and had her describe in detail what she saw. She gave the exact same desctiption, every detail the same as her twin sister! I tried to trick her to see how committed to her story she was. I said your sister only saw one and it was red,,, She Insisted that there were three and they were sparkly white not red!

I've been trying to understand what happened a year ago. I saw something like a 4th of July sparkler for a fleeting moment out of the corner of my eye and my two six year olds both saw and described in detail sparkling balls of light.
