Well, let me tell you some interesting story. I used to work in an export company some years ago. I started there in 2001 and one of my partners was a man whose mother was a kind of priestess for some of brazilian tipical witchcrafts, which we call " Macumba". I never believed in such things but he always told us stories about that like he believed on it from the bottom of his heart. Actually, he was really afraid of that kind of things.
One day, on a joke, he told us he would like to come back after dead to play tricks on people he didn't like in life or on his friends and relatives. As time passed by, he left the job because he was really stressed. Some time before he left the job, he said bad things about me and wasn't a trustworthy person for me, so that I always kept some remorse against him. There were some days I couldn't look him into his eyes because I was hurt and in hate. My boss and the other partners were hurt too because he and his wife were jealousy people and they also tried to spoilt their relationships and the business.
Then, on 2003 he died from deep illness. He was very sick and weak at an hospital room where he stayed suffering for about 3 months before he died.
I never visited him because I actually didn't like him, but even so, I went to his funeral. It was a little bit hard for me to look at his corpse and feel pity for him, but I prayed for God that gives me strenght and wisdom to be a better person and forgive that man as he was already dead, and i really wished the best for him that day, that he could find a nice place to rest on Heaven and all those things.
At night, while I was at home, I felt someone rubbing my leg and my feet through the blanket with a lot of care. It could be my mother giving me some cherish then I woke up because that was giving me the tickles, and when I looked down, there was no one at my bed! I could even see the invisible hand slip in my blanket and vanish as if the person who did that took his hand out slowly, caught by surprise as he had woken me up!
My body started to shiver because of the panic, but then some kind of voice echoed inside my head: " Marie, you're not afraid of such things"... and I fell asleep.
The next day I woke up and remembered my ex-partner's promise, and thought: " Maybe he came back to show he was alive somewhere, and maybe he needs me to forgive him."
And then, OK, I forgive him!
