Some Demons Take Many Forms

I wouldn't call this a near death experience exatly, but it could have been very bad to my health had it gotten out of hand.

For the past 5 years or so I have had occasional visits during the night from my own Dark Figure. Once he even picked me up and layed me gently on the floor, that one was very strange. But the time that I'm talking about now was probably the worst.

I was on an Army exercise sleeping outside in a Bivvi bag and I (obviously dreaming) felt an animal of some sort on top of me, and I could hear it growling. I awoke quickly and felt immediate pain on my forehead, where the animal had seemed to be biting me. I looked in the mirror and I was bleeding quite a lot, and now have a scar there. I tell myself that I did it to myself with my own fingernails, which is extremely strange because I get no satisfaction whatsoever in self-harm. But I just don't really know...

Not so much near-death, but definately near-major injury if I can't beat this thing.

It would also be really good to hear from other people with the same type of 'Dark Figure' dreams.
