A Dream from Papaw

This dream actually occurred last night. First off let me explain that my grandfather just passed away October 27, 2007 and since being extremely close with him I have had a very hard time with his passing. I was unable to be at the hospital when he passed but my mother, father and older sister were so I have also been having a problem with not being present.

Now to the story.

Last night while I was asleep I dreamed about my grandfather lying in his casket and I was screaming and very upset because unknown people were messing with his body. When I walked away I was grabbed up from behind and squeezed tight. When I turned around I realized that it was my grandfather and again he hugged me tight. I was crying hysterically when he held me and said “Kara It’s Ok…I'm Ok” and he repeated this again as I noticed a single tear fall from his eye and afterwards I woke myself up crying.

When I called my mother to tell her about the dream, when I got to the part about the tear falling from his eye she slightly gasped. I asked her why she did this and she explained to me that moments before my grandfather passed away a single tear fell from his right eye and then he took his last breaths. I found this incredible because I had not been there when he passed nor had anyone mentioned this detail. I believe that this dream and me specifically remembering the tear fall from his eye and his words to me was a sign from him telling me that he really is ok and that he will always be with me. A strange, unanswerable phenomenon.
