7 years ago, my mum, my brother and i had just left my home town and moved to be closer to family. not long after we settled into our new house, i was always on guard and felt like i was being watched with every little move i made. for some strange reason even though it was now our home, i felt like i was invading on someones privacy with everything i did.
After awhile i shrugged the feeling off, and laughed at myself thinking i was just un-easy being in a new surronding and being so far away from what i had called home. but after awhile it wasnt something i could shrug off.
late one night while laying down in my bed head phones blaring and all the lights turned out, i suddenly felt a pressure at the end of my bed like someone had sat there. i knew this couldnt be, since i was the only one awake.. i was frozen with fear to scared to look. my room became very cold and my body was very stiff, my body remained frozen while my heart felt like it was pounding in my throat.
eventaully after what seemed like forever it had gone. i hid under my blankets that night and barley got any sleep. i decided not to mention anything to my mum or brother, for the fear of them not taking me seriously.
A couple of weeks later my brother and I decided to sleep in the lounge room while watching some movies. i was up on the couch while a matress he was sleeping on was right near me. i actaully felt relived having my big brother in there with me, knowing if i felt or even seen anything he would of witnessed it to.
soon enough i fell asleep. but not long after was awoken by something pulling at my blanket. "Stop it". i mummbled still half asleep not bothering to look down at him. the tugging continued but this time was pulling even harder. so hard, by now my blanket had almost been pulled of. "STOP IT" i shouted looking down to the matress expecting to see my brother playing a pratical joke. But found myself looking face to face with a old man who's eyes i will never forget to this day.. they were wide like he was scared and like he was in terrible pain. he didnt have to say it, his eyes said it all.. "Help Me" it also looked like he had a grey mist around him. i scramed my lungs out at that moment my brother came running in and turned on the light. he had been in the toilet, not in the room. i could not speak or explain what i had seen but i tried my best.
A few months down the track my mum became good friends with the next door neighbours, who mentioned to my mum a older man had lived in the house before us.
and had died of a heart attack.
We still Live in the house today, but im no longer scared.
he was never out to hurt me.
that was his way of greeting me.
