Crouching Man

let me start by saying that my family had lived in our home for 14 years before anything happened. i was 18 years old and had just come home from a friends engagement party, i had only had two drinks all night. all my family were home nd in bed already so i went and had a shower and hopped into bed.
i had been asleep for probably 2 hours when i woke up in a fright, i could fell someone watching me. i just lay there with my eyes closed ( im real scardy cat at the best of times). i lay there for what seemed like ages before i dared to look. when i opened my eyes at the bottom of my hutch was a man crouched down and rubbing his chin. i watched him for a while but he just did the thing. i shut my eyes tight thinking it was just a trick of the light. when i opened them again he was still there. i shut my eyes again hopeing that he would be gone when i opened them again, he was, well i thought he was till i saw his feet, he was standing instead of crouching, but still rubbing his chin.
by this time i was well and truely freaked out. i just jumped my stool with the fan on it a hit the light, nothing. i went to the lounge and turned on the telly, i felt safe with the light on. i told my parents the next day but everyone just assumed id had a bad dream. my mum beleived me though. for the next month if i slept in my room i needed there to be a light on and the door had to stay open. i couldnt forget how scared id been or how i felt with him just staring at me. never saw him again but i have a funny feeling he was still there.
when i first brought home my current boyfriend everytime he walked into my room something would fall and land on his head. there was no logical reason for the stuff to fall. he blames my crouching friend. even now if i close my eyes i can see him, i can to describe everyting about him, but i dont think id like to actually see him again,
