Have you ever wondered where the name "ouija" came from? Well, one night, my friend and I asked the ouija board. It told us! Keep reading, and I will explain about the night we contacted Jake Aple, a spirit from the 1800's.

I sat cross legged on my bed, facing my friend, the ouija board rested upon our laps. We set our hands on the oracle and asked "How did the name ouija come to be?" Without hesitation, the oracle bagan to spell out "O is for one, U is for uses, I is for 'in-the-box' J is for Jack A is for Aple." We asked it who Jack Aple was, and it spelled out "me." We asked who invinted the first ouija board and why. Again, it said "me." It said he created it to contact his wife Lina after she comited suicide at seventeen. Six years later, Jack Aple died.

Now, in case you are confused, we were now talking to Jack himself who seems to be the mind behind the ouija board. We asked him how he died, and after many "I don't know's" he said he woke up in the box. After much guessing, we discovered that the "box" was a coffin and that Jack was somehow burried alive. We know that Jack Aple died in 1806 and claims that his body is burried in Jacksonville, OR, but that the cemetary no longer exsists. He was not burried beside his former wife Lina, because she is burried in Talent, OR.

The level of reliability of this story is unknown, but this account is true. For all of you ouija booard users, it might be a good idea to ask your board about its name and see if you come up with the same results that we did. If so, there might be something to Jack's story afterall!
