This is a story passes down from my grandmother. Her family was deeply religous (Catholic)My grandmother was extremely fond of the virgin mary, she had a statue of her on the other side of her bedroom.

When she was about six years old she bought a candy bar for Mary, to show her affection. Her family was extremely poor, so she used all of her lifes savings to buy the candy bar, but she felt it was important to do. That night she put the candy bar next to her bed. In the morning she was devistated when she found that Mary didnt take the candy bar, and cried.

That night she kept the chocolate next to her bed, hoping that maybe Mary would still come. She woke up in the middle of the night, and she saw Mary standing over her and smiling. Mary told her that she should keep the candy bar and that she loved her. The next morning, her statue of Mary was lying next to her.
