Viola
From: Story type: Ghost Location: Source: Form Submission
I heard this story from my grandfather who heard it from my great grandfather so bear with me.
My great grandfather went to his brothers to help him with the cattle, because his wife went to visit her sister who was sick. They were out in the field rounding up the cattle and in those days they had stairs that would go right up over the fence.Well for some reason they happened to look over in that direction when my great grandfather's brother saw his wife and yelled "Viola, what are you doing here you should be on the train right now."
There was no answer so they moved a little closer and when they did that the woman went over the stairs and to the edge of the woods and again he asked her 'Viola what are you doing here."
My great grandfather and his brother walked over the stairs and as they did the woman looked at them and motioned for them to follow her into the woods, my great grandfather looked at his brother who was about to follow grabbed him and told him "You may follow that thing into the woods but I'm not.
They took off, back at the house the phone was ringing it was someone
telling the brother that at the very same time that they were seeing
her that she had been in a train wreak and died.
