They're Coming to Take Me Away

Picture it...Halloween Night, 2002. I had gone out to a party and
decided to come home early on account of the fog slowly gathering
outside. Keep in mind, I had'nt had more than a couple of drinks and
was still quite sober. After saying goodnight to everyone I made my way
home, stopping at the only open gas station in town for cigarettes.
I came in and closed up the house, making sure the windows were all
closed. I took off my costume and crawled into bed at about 2am. I
imediately fell asleep and was having some very racy dreams when I was
rudely awakened by someone pulling the covers off the bed. When I
looked around the room, there was'nt anyone and the clock showed
2:30am.
I went back to sleep and was awakened again. This time I felt as
though there were people holding me, my legs, arms, and torso. I was
still in my bed, but it felt as though people were all around, dragging
me, but I could'nt see anyone. Then I noticed the window was open and
the drapes were gently blowing in the breeze, they were bringing me to
the window! Needless to say, I was a bit frightened, not to mention
chilled to the bone. I was fighting and fighting to free myself from
whoever these people were. I heard laughter coming from outside the
window. It was as though there were men and women outside giggling and
hooting, not just a few, but many.
I was able to free myself and ran to the window. There was'nt a soul to
be seen. So I went outside to see if I could find anyone. I could'nt
see anyone, but I swear I heard giggling in the distance. It seems they
had dissapeared into the fog, that had now grown very dense. Then I
heard a kind of swooshing sound overhead, but could'nt see anything. I
decided to go back in the house and try to slep again.
Surprisingly, I had no trouble going back to sleep and woke in the
morning feeling very refreshed and somewhat lighthearted. Then I
remembered what had happened and decided it was all just a crazy dream.
When I got out of bed, I noticed there was dirt, grass, and dried mud
in the sheets and covering my feet. thinking I mut have been
sleepwalking or something, I went into the bathroom and took a shower.
But then I noticed something else. I had bruises under my arms, they
weren't very dark, but red, and looked a bit like large hand/finger
marks. They did'nt last as long as a normal bruise either, just a
little less than a day.
Even now, I don't have a logical explination for what happened. I
like to think it was just my imagination working overtime, though I
know it was'nt. I wonder what will happen this Halloween?
