She Travels With Me-Pt.2
From: Doug Polk (dtpolk@outrageous.net) Story type: Ghost Location: California Source: Form Submission
It seems that many people read my first story "She Travels With Me"
in the Ghost Story section. I have gotten considerable e-mail about it,
so I thought I'd add a follow-up about this 'ghost' who I believe was a
past female friend, and who seems to have followed me from home to home
when I move. I have never seen her, although I suspect my cat (it was
cats, but one died) has. I feel her sitting on the bed, and see things
as she moved them. A more detailed description is in the first story.
She has never responded to any inducement by myself to communicate,
until recently.
The goings on as first described have continued more or less at the
same frequency as when I wrote the first story, until very early in the
morning last Tuesday (9/20/05). I awoke around 3AM to a considerable
amount of noise coming from my living room (which I cannot see from my
bed room. The noise was not excessively loud, but I am a light sleeper,
and it woke me. As with most people, waking from a sound sleep at 3AM,
I was not at my brightest, and assumed the cat was being playful. I
went back to sleep. In the morning as I was dashing around to get ready
to go to work (the rooms still mostly dark) I stumbled on\ver something
on the floor. I turned on the living room lights to find a number of
books removed from my bookshelf there. These were heavy books, and I
knew that the cat didn't do it! The most interesting thing was that the
books seem to have been laid out to form a letter...the letter "R".
This is consistant with an initial in the name of the person I think
the ghost is, who's last name started with R. That's about it. While
the teases go on as first described, nothing of this nature has occured
since. I am still not frightened by it, and still find it somewhat
amusing. I'll write again if there are further developments.
