I have read a lot of these stories and I love this site. So I decided to add a few encounters of my own. My encounters take place in my old neighborhood that I have since moved from, not because of the spirits, but because of the people living there. Isn't that something, the dead don't drive me away, it was the living. Well I say it took place in my neighborhood not my house because we lived in two different houses there and they were both haunted, and not just that one was made for us so it was brand new. My guess is that the neighborhood was on Native American burial ground.

Well the first memory I have was when I was real little. I was probably about five years old. I was sitting on a stool at our bar when I heard a male voice say hello. This startled me because I grew up without a father so I didn't know who it could be. It didn't say much more but I remember asking my mom who else was here. Of course the answer was no one. Well I can't remember much from this point in my life, just one more thing. It was storming real bad and I had just ran in from the rain. My grandma was babysitting me because my mom had to work late that evening. We opened the curtain to the sliding glass door and saw our tree in the back yard. It was normal except that the top was in the shape of a native american who had in his hand what appeared to be a burning bush. Ever since then I tried to find it again in storms but never saw it again. Well we moved from there because the house was too small and moved away from the neighborhood, but we later moved back.

We were in a different house but more freaky things happened. While my mom was in the living room while my sister and I were asleep she could see dark shadows move into our rooms. We also had a dog who would be dead asleep and all of a sudden bolt upright with his ears perked up and his tail rigid and bark at my mom's bedroom door which seemed to be the focal point to the hauntings. I can remember relaxing on the couch in the living room which was in the middle of the living room facing away from my mom's bedroom door and towards our rooms'. My dog wandered into my mom's room because it was the coolest and it was summer, and all of a sudden I hear the door to her room slam shut, not only that but the dog who was in there was barking, and whining, and scratching on the door trying to get out because she must have seen something and she was terrified. When I opened the door she bolted out and went into my room which is on the opposite side of the house, I found her under my bed whimpering.

One time when i got out of the shower I looked over the mirror to see if I could see myself, the whole mirror was fogged up, I bent down to dry my legs and when I came up there was a tiny handprint in the corner of the mirror much to small for anyone in my house's hand. Our final encounter happened with my mom. She said she had just laid down and felt something smooth the covers out on her thigh. There was a slight pause then she felt a pressure on her leg as if some child had put their head on her leg to fall asleep, since it was dark and she couldn't see she thought it was the dog, when she put her hand down to shoo it off her, there was nothing there.

Thanks for reading. Sorry it was so long.
