A Haunted Dog!

Hi, the following events happened during the last week of August and first week of September 2005. My medium sized dog, who is a barker and agressor, began to be subjected to attacks of fear. He was awoken from a snoring sleep, by a sharp yelp, then he would look at his rump. He would dash off the sofa from a deep sleep!

To add to this he refused to sleep on the sofa for an entire week. At first we all thought he was experiencing illness.After a full examination, nothing! No sores no splintres? Several more times that familiar sharp yelp would be heard and the dog would run into which ever room I was in and cower under my legs like a scared child.

As the days went on this was repeated once a day usually in the mornings around 11AM? I was cleaning out some cupboards when I got to see this phenomenon happen before my eyes. As the dog was walking toward me in the kitchen, he let out a sharp yelp and looked directly at the center of his body at the side as if someone had pinched him! He was soo confused that he backed his bum into the corner cupboard and stood as a statue staring at the direction he had just come from. He remained like that for 20 minutes!

It freaked me out as I was home alone at that time.I tried to calm him down, get him to relax by talking to him? I also said out loud," whatever this is about go away you are not wanted here".

It never happened again, however my dog had insomnia and agitated sleep for a full week afterwords, which I attributed to fear of being attacked during sleep?
