The Gateway to Hell

An old Brooklyn brownstone is considered The Gateway to Hell. People who lived in the house have reported seeing an apparition of a man wearing a Fendora and dressed in 1940's clothing. Other residents have seen an old lady sitting in a chair in the basement area.
The current owner, who refuses to give her name, is totally satisfied with her house and loves living there. Residents who lived in the building temporarily have reported strange events during both the day and night.
One resident who had rented out the top floor had the feeling of someone watching him while he was sleeping. Ghostly activities such as loud banging noises, doors slamming on their own, footsteps and the sound of a child crying were heard on the staircase leading to the cellar,soft vioces whispering during the late hours of the night, odor of chicken soup was smelled by some visitors in the house when there was no one cooking at the time.
One man who had just
moved out recently said that forms of devil-worship ceromonies have
taken place at the house practically every night. The building is
haunted by several spirits, according to some psychics who have visited
the house.
