The Elderly Lady

About a 2years ago I left the home I had lived in for the previous
18years. This was my Dad's land and had been my Grampa's before. It was
hard, but being a single mother, I needed my independence from my
parent's. I moved to the next town, where my job was. My Granny had
lived with us for the previous 3years before, and had passed away in
June, before I moved in February. The same month I moved into the
house, my uncle Larry, passed away during open heart surgery, he was my
Granny's next to the oldest son. So as you can imagine I was not in a
good way. Alot of things had happened.
About a month after I moved in an elderly lady came by and knocked
on my door. She had a little long haired chihuahua named Mickey. She
reminded me of my Granny, (my granny had a little chihuahua named Tiny
we had given her), so when the lady asked for a ride, I gave her one.
All the way across town. The house she got out at, didnt really look
like that of an elderly lady, but who knew. I let her out and she said
thank you, and took off up the hill toward the house with her dog.
However, when I pulled away, I have a habit of looking in the rearview
mirror. I was making sure she was okay. Now when I let her off she was
on the curb going towards the house. But she was nowhere in sight! I
looked everywhere she could possibly be, but nothing. So I brushed it
off and when home.
This lady continued to show up from time to time. Although she never
asked for a ride again. My cousing lived two blocks down, and she also
saw her at my house. We were out in the yard, my cousin, her two kids,
my two kids, and me. But the woman never spoke to anyone but me and my
kids. As if she didnt see anyone else. I was never afraid of her, it
just didnt occur to me. The last time I saw her, she came to my door
and asked if I would take her Sunday School bag to church for her, the
church was located at the end of our street. And she gave me a little
porcelain clown, now I am afraid of clowns, but used to collect them (
I know weird). She gave it to me and looked at me with this strange
glow in her eye, and said "maybe your daughter will like it", but I
have two boys, "I dont have a daughter", still looking at me with that
strange glint in her eyes, she said " maybe you'll need it". So I took
the bag and sadly never took it to the church. But that clown was
ALWAYS EVERYWHERE. I never saw her again, and moved after that back to
my old house.
At the end of that year I had a miscarriage, and I always just felt
like it was a girl. I dont know why, but it made me think of that lady,
and what she said.
I have since moved back to the same street, 3 houses down. And when
I was unpacked my nephew found that clown, and wanted it. I gave it to
him, but when they went to leave, that clown was sitting in my driver's
seat of my minivan!
He did end up taking it, but everytime I go to my sister's house, its
there looking at me.
And last but not least, my two boys are now attending that little
church at the end of the street, and my oldest is going to be baptized
in that church, go figure.
Alot of other unexplainable things happened while I lived in that
house, ( house was on the corner of Elm St), but the lady was probably
the most interesting.
What do you think this was? I was thinking maybe my Granny, or maybe a
gaurdian angel, who knows. Thank you for listening, I know I'm long
winded.
