Black Dog?

There is a being called The Rugaroo here in The Turtle Mountains. The name Rugaroo is derived from the french word meaning Werewolf. Some say the Rugaroo is half man half goat, others say he is an enormous black dog, and some believe him to be the devil, or other devilish being. He is usually seen during Lent, it's a christian thing if you're wondering. He is a bad omen, and is meant to warn you of the sins you commit, or so I'm told. Here's what happened.

I was driving home from a friends house late one night. It was a fairly nice night, very quiet. I was on a stretch of country road, driving alone, just the radio to keep me company. I noticed a rather large black object in the road, so I slowed down to avoid it. It turned out to be a huge black dog. It's coat did'nt give off any shine, neither did it's eyes, but I felt it was glaring at me.

A little shaken, I turned up the radio and sparked up a marlboro, trying to forget about what had happened and feeling a little silly. I made it home perfectly fine and called my friend to tell her what had happened. We talked for about fifteen minutes when I decided to get a soda from the kitchen, I was in my bedroom. I got my soda and was about to open my bedroom door when I noticed there was no light under the door. I remember leaving my desk lamp on whne I left the room.

So when I went to open the door, it was locked. The door locks from the inside! I told her what was going on and said I'd call her back. I went outside and crawled through my open bedroom window. Sure enough, the lights were all off, with the exceptiopn of a freshly lit cigarette in the ashtray.

I quickly turned on the light and searched the room. There was nothing out of place, except for the lights being out and a cigarette showing up out of nowhere. I poked my head out the window to see if anyone was out there.

To my surprise, there was a huge black dog running away from the house. I swear it was the same dog that I had seen on the road! I called my friend back and we chatted the rest of the night. We were both a little too bothered to sleep.

Oh, by the way, nothing bad happened after seeing the Rugaroo, but who knows, he may still be out there. Sometimes I still find newly lit cigarettes in the ashtray, but can never find a reasonable explination as to where they come from. Thanks for reading.
