Spookiness

I grew up in Pampa, TX. A town with around 25,000 residences in the Texas Panhandle. My family built a house in a nice neighborhood and lived in it for only 4years before moving. Even though we built the house, I always thought strange things occured around it. I heard footsteps over my bedroom at night, even though the attic had no floor. One evening, when I was 9, I was watching television at around 11:30 at night. I heard tapping, and looked up to see a dark figure about 8 feet in front of me, in my bathroom. I said "Hi", thinking it was my Dad, and then it walked away, tapping as it left. I began thinking that it definatly was NOT my dad and went looking throughout the house. I found everyone sound asleep. I always remebered that.

I am 25 now, and live in another house in Amarillo, TX. I was getting ready for work at around 7:45 a.m. about a year ago, and went down to our laundry room in the back of the house, to get clothes out of the dryer to wear, and I heard a voice say "Help Me". It sounded like a speak and spell sounds. Mechanical. My eyes went wide and I tried to back out of the laundry room, but by the time I was closer to the front of the house, I was running. I woke up my fiance, to tell him and then went off to work. I do not know what spoke to me. I was not comfortable in the house for a good 6 months after that, and my Mother-in-law blessed the house w/ holy water and I have not seen much since.

I can only tell you that these experiences will always stay with me. I believe in the paranormal, because some things just cannot be explained, but I do not actively seek it out.
