The Shadowed Hangman, the Lady in Blue, an Orphan and a Murderer

I never really believed in ghost stories, I found them interesting
but I am a scientist, always was, always will be. However I have seen
two ghosts in my life, and sensed countless others. I do not claim to
be anything special, but when I can look at the house and see the
entire history in my mind, and it's right I have to wonder.
I had been blessed with many grandparents, all except for two died
within a year. My parents told me I was the happiest baby with them
around, and when they were gone nothing seemed to change, I was always
pointing at air or talking to a wall up until I was 10 years old and
then I saw him, we all saw.
I come from a family with Gypsy blood, and in ancient legends, there
were people who were magnets for those type of spirits, whether I am or
not doesn't matter but it got my attention.
A group of us were in the basement of a house in an older industrial
part of Hamilton Ontario. We were about 10 or so and we were watching
television, and the owners of the house had gone out and taken their
youngest, most annoying son with them. We are watching tv and then we
hear, banging coming from the upstairs, and then a door opens, we look
back to see if it was Trevor and 12 of us saw the shadow of a man
swinging from a noose, we look back to the window above the tv to see
if anything could be casting that shadow, there wasn't. The worst part
is, is that we heard the rope rocking back and forth.
The second time in my life was when I went to Trent University in
Peterborough Ontario. At Trail College there are a series of large
Victorian style houses that have served many purposes over the years.
Two of them have very unknown ghosts that you wouldn't know of unless
you lived there or spent a lot of time there. First there is Lengton
House, evidently a man killed himself there after sneaking across to
Kerr House (another university building) and killing a little girl who
resided in the orphanage there. People claim he is quite violent,
shaking beds, slamming doors and all that. In Kerr House you can hear
the little girl crying especially if you are male and are near her, she
is afraid of you.
The most famous and final ghost the one I have actually seen is in
Scott House, she is known since Trent bought the building and even
before then, she is the blue lady.
I was on the next to top floor looking for an office and turned around
to see a woman with dark hair, a broach, a blue lace neck wrap, and a
beautiful Victorian style blue dress. I asked her if she knew where the
office was she turned away from me, and walked into the wall. I
couldn't believe my eyes, people had told me the blue lady is only seen
on the second to top floor but lives in the very top one, the attic,
which is closed off. Coincedently where she walked away to when I saw
her, was where the staircase was removed and sealed off. I searched and
searched to find this blue lady and finally I did. She was a young girl
who had married a richer, older landowner, who owned the houses,
property, and land that Trail College and other surrounding dwellings
are built. They lived in Scott House. One day the husband contracted
TB, Turberculosis, or Galloping Consumption, well he was moved to the
attic room, and his wife would not leave his side. They weren't allowed
off the two top floors, and no one would come up to them. He died, and
soon after so did she. The Blue Lady walks those two very small floors
mouring the loss of her husband and looking for a way to escape and be
able to come downstairs.
