Ouija Board

Ok, this story is as true as my memory allows. Maybe around 1995/6,
cannot quite remember if it was before or after I was married we went
for a fairly civilised dinner at some friends house. They were doing
well in their own business, we were sruggling along but getting there
slowly. They used to cook, we would bring the booze.
So, to cut to the chase we decided to make a ouija board, nothing
fancy, alphabet, numbers, yes and no. The four of us sat down, my
wife/partner and I on the sofa, our friends opposite us on the floor.
We did all the is anybody there stuff, nothing happened, glass unmoved.
Then, bang, the glass left the table, none of our hands were on it, it
just left the table at a silly rate of knots and headed off towards the
fireplace, around 10 metres away, just failing to reach it. Of course,
we quit, tidied up, laughed a little and skipped off to bed. No noises
in the night, no bangs, creaks or mysterious faces.
Within the week however our friends were getting worried. The lady
had been washing up after dinner a few days later and the kitchen door
slammed, opened, slammed. She could not open it easily, feeling as if
it was held from the other side. The the following sunday her sister
and her young daughter came round for a roast, but the daughter would
not come into the house from the porch, saying that she was scared and
the scary mask, some cheap touristy rubbish from their honeymoon trip
to Kenya, did not want her to come in. I n a fit of 2/3 year old anger
she threw her shoes at the mask in the hall, got a smack on the legs
and finally sat down to lunch. They ate, washed up and went to leave,
the thrown kids shoes were lying, perfectly neatly, left on the left,
right on the right under the mask, the little girl would not wear them
and indeed did not as she threw them out the car on the way home.
Within a month, the kitchen, which was an extension to the house
started to fall apart structurally, our friends relationship crumbled
as did our relationship with them. They left the house, sold at a loss,
split up and finally divorced, dissolved their business and we finally
lost touch altogther.
we never fell out, never argued, just called but never met, arranged to
meet, then cancelled. We had much in common and were I would say the
best of friends and they the perfect couple. yeah, nobody died, myself
and my wife are doing fine, not such a scary story. But even writing it
now my back is cold and I keep looking over my shoulder.
Those boards, purchased or homemade do something, we spoke to no
spirits, only saw a glass fly a few metres in a friends house, but for
them things got worse from that moment, our friendship dissolved like
sugar in hot water and for no reason at all.
