Another Thing That Couldn't Happen

I wrote earlier about my computer acting funny, playing music while no program process was active. There's been another incident. Yesterday evening I was home alone, as my husband works nights, and I was going to make myself a pot of tea and watch a flick. The kettle was boiling on the cooker, while I was busy arranging the teabags. The boiling gets even more intense, but as I turn to pour the water and turn off the burner, I realise it's not even on - but it's hot! I'm 100% sure I hadn't turned it off earlier. The burner cooled down after I got my tea, and I checked it several times during the evening to make sure there was no electrical malfunction. I was ready to turn the main switch off, but everything was back to normal after that.
