Old House and Hide and Go Seek

My cousin and some of his freinds went up in this house in Chincoteague. Once they got in and it started to get dark they all loved the idea of playing hide and go seek. So they all ran off to opposite ends of the house. Some of the people were found, my cousin being one of them. They were all looking around for the other people when one of the girls that were with them came running down the stairs, screaming. She didn't stop to talk to them or anything. She just ran straight out the door.

My cousin wanted to go see what was going on back the way that she had ran from. So, all of them slowly made there way up the stairs, but they never found anything. They began playing hide and go seek again like nothing had happened. My cousin and one of his freinds were both hiding in the kitchen. The stairs happen to be right by the kitchen.

Well, his freind started pointing to the stairs with a freaked out look on his face. My cousin looked and he saw a blob of dark gray smoke/fog rolling down the stairs. It wasn't floating, it rolled down the stairs. It was compact, not airy.

It started coming toward the kitchen so my cousin and his freind took off. Unfortunately, there was no where to run because the kitchen didn't have another door, but it did have a window. So the two boys jumped out the window screaming and running. the other kids, who are starting to get scared because that would make three people that ran out the house screaming, also ran out the house.

Later my cousin and some freinds talked to the girl. She wouldn't tell them what happened, but she did tell them that she was in the back closet in one of the room closet to the back of the house.

My cousin is now in his twenties and the house is in very bad shape now and there is a no tresspassing sign. But one night my cousin, his mom, and his girlfriend all went to just look around the house and they all saw shadows and felt strange. There are going to be shadows at night, but this was in the afternoon when the sun was still up.

Pretty freaky, huh? I've seen the house and it does look creepy. My mom, my cousin's mom, and I were standing out side of it, resting after taking a bike ride, and we all saw a shadow pass through the window on the highest floor. That is just one of the stories that were brought up when we visited them.
