Is That You?

I was at my Grandparents house in Ohio. I was very young at the time, only about 6 years of age. This was a very old style home, and most of the solcializing went on in the basement of the house. This was a horrible thing for the young children who were forced to retire early in the upstairs bedrooms. This particular night, I was lying awake, thnking about how much I wanted to be down stairs with the grown ups. I rolled over to the left side of bed and shut my eyes. I was fighting off sleep and I was determined to win. I felt an odd sensation that I was all of a sudden not alone in the big King size bed. I rolled over very slow, and I saw a semi transparent figure sittin on the edge of the bed smiling at me. I was not afrain, until after the strange apparition was gone. Then, out of fear for my life, I ran down stairs to relay my story to my parents. They brushed it off as nothing serious, but I saw a flash in both of their eyes that scared me more than the ghostly figure on my bed. A couple of years later,my Grandparents moved down to Florida. WE were down their for Christmas and I was enjoying my stay. My gradnparents were going through some old photo albums. Being a very curious 8 year old, I climbed up into the chair closest to the pictures. I was going through a pile of very old black and white's when my blood ran cold. There in the picture, was the figure I had seen at the end of my bed. I reminded my parents, as well as my grandparents, about what had happened that night and asked who this mysterious woman was. They told me that it was my great grandmother and that her name was Sally. They said that when my Mother had become pregnant with me, Sally had been the happiest woman on earth. She helped my Mohter pick out things for my room, bought me clothing, you name it. Sadly two weeks before I was born, Sally had a massive heart attack and died. My Mtoher and Father tell me that she was just checking up on me. Sometimes I still get that feeling in the pit of my stomach, like someone is watching me. Only now I don't have the courage to roll over...
