House on the Dead End Street(part2) I have yet to encounter a house quite as creepy and as strange as the one on the dead end street in Houston, Texas. After discovering the black room I mentioned in part one of this story, as crazy as it sounds my friend and I stayed a few days longer. Looking back, I wish we would've left the moment we found that room because things progressively became worse.

My brother and sister-in-law were tired of us sleeping with the lights and the television on and demanded that we turn it off once we lay down to go to bed. They seemed so angry about it that I'd just resolved to turn the lights off in spite of my fears. I finished bathing my infant daughter and placed her diaper bag on top of an unpacked cardboard box that sat next to the bed. The diaper bag was virtually empty having only a few newborn diapers in them and one bottle of travel sized baby shampoo. I put my daughter to bed, turned off the light, and laid down in the bed next to her. For all of about five minutes, nothing happened. And just when I decided that I had nothing to fear, I suddenly felt the mattress shake violently as if someone fell against it! Needless to say, I was startled and I immediately jumped up to turn on the light. And what did I see lying on the bed? My daughters' nearly empty diaper bag! It had fallen from the cardboard box onto the bed. The only problem with that: it's impossible for a little diaper bag with only three pampers and a travel size bottle of shampoo to shake the bed so violently. I don't have to tell you that the light stayed on from that point forward. But as if that weren't enough for the night something else occurred.

I couldn't wake up the next day. I remember dreaming that I was encased completely in darkness; total blackness. And I also remember feeling very hot and angry and wanting to wake up, but something was keeping me from doing so. I was aware of the fact that I was asleep and that I wanted so badly to wake up. I kept willing myself to get up and get out of this darkness, but something was stopping me! Finally, I awakened to find my best friend and my two nieces in the bedroom trying to wake me up. I turned to see that my baby was also just coming out of a deep sleep. Afterwards, I was informed that it was three in the afternoon and my nieces and my friend had spent hours trying to wake us up. They had finally decided that they would just dial 911 when we finally opened our eyes! At this point, I was really ready to go. I called the father of my child and told him everything that we were going through. He came right over and picked us up. I have never seen that house again!
