Followed by a Spirit?

We purchased our first home in Dunmore Pennsylvania in 1992. Shortly after moving in, we experienced strange perfume waifts of smells, footsteps in the upstairs hallway, the shower turning on and off, closet doors opening and closing and a variety of other paranormal events. (including our two year son claiming to be playing with "Sally" in his bedroom almost daily.)

On June 5, 1994, my husband and I were watching the eleven o'clock news in our living room. As we sat there, we both turned expecting to see our son enter the room. As we turned our heads towards the door way, we saw a woman "float" in the room and disappear as she went through the wall. We felt in intense cold from the inside out. Totally freaked out, we got up and locked the doors and windows. (yeah, like that's gonna help!) From then on, we knew we had a ghost even tho we only saw her one more time.

We had a priest come to our house to bless it and "enthrown" Jesus Christ as Lord of our household. As soon as he entered the house, he felt her. He knew why she was there. He said she had not forgiven some family members and was therefore "stuck" here. Aside from all that, we continued to be "haunted" by her. About that time, our electric bills started climbing... soaring, actually. We had a thorough energy audit which proved that everything was in order. We came to terms with the fact that we were sharing our house. We could tell her to go to another room and she would. I used to tell her, when I felt her watching me, to "go Home to the Light". She never did and continued to "haunt" us daily by continuing to turn the shower on and off, open and close doors, walk the hallway and watch us. I would sit in my chair in the living room and an intense waift of her perfume smell would drift by me. This happened almost always on Sunday afternoon.

In 2000, we sold that house and moved to Florida. The first house we had in Florida did not appear to be or feel haunted. The only exception to this was that I woke up one early morning to feel my bed "breathing". And, our electric bills began to soar again. Once more, we had an energy edit performed which showed nothing out of the ordinary. Despite putting uv blocking film on the windows, cuting back, upping the AC temp, etc our bills continued to rise. We lived in that house for two and a half years with no other incidences of a haunting.

In February of 2003, we moved into a brand new house in another part of Florida. The house was built by the builder and is very well insulated and has mostly gas appliances. The only electric usage is the AC, refrig, dishwasher and lights (as well as computer and other small appliances). Our hot water, clothes dryer and stove are gas. Before the builder sold us this house, he lived here. His electric bills for several months were a THIRD of what we now pay. I don't know how this is possible. Everything is brand new and energy efficient, and this house is fully and impeccably insulated. Our electric bills have now reached over $300.00 a month despite cutting back on everything.

I'm wondering if spirits can follow someone. When the Priest came into our PA house to do the Enthrownment, he told my husband that he was "filled with light". Can it be that my husband is "attracting" energy sucking spirits? My husband has been at his job for three years and they report that the electric bills are ever increasing (dramatically) since he's been there. They now know that he's not doing anything differently than the other managers but on his shift, there's more electric usage. Does anyone have a clue as to what could be causing this. We're going broke!
