Family Charm

When I was little my grandmother died. She wasn't well known to me, but she did have a pretty large fortune. Though most of it went to my Grandfather, I got to keep some jewelry. She told everyone before she died to give me a certain necklace. It had a silver chain and a beautiful charm. The charm was an old looking symbol for a cult or something. Dragons and the old family logo. I thought it was great to have and I told my mother to hold onto it till I was old enough to care for it properly.
We since then moved to Las Vegas. I asked for it when we reached our first house, an apartment in a small community. I was glad to have it, but from the moment I placed it around my neck I knew something was wrong. I started to feel like I was being followed around the house. I would sleep next to my little sister and hear voices telling me to kill her. Feeling uncomfortable I would take off the charm and nothing happened after that.
When I placed it around my neck again when I reached middle school, I would feel like things were going to happen. I would get chills, and I would see accidents happen before they did. I became scared and one day forgot to put on my charished necklace. Everything went on as a normal day. I relized then that it was the necklace.
I didn't care though and would ware it often. When we moved again, to the other side of town, I didn't ware it till a couple of months into our new home. It had been packed away I wasn't able to find it. The moment I placed it around my neck I thought I saw someone standing in my room. I froze and cautiously went closer to the girl. She disapeared right before my eyes. Getting more chills then I would have liked I decided not to stay in the room. I went for the door. The handle wouldn't turn. I screamed and called for my family. When they came they tried as well to open the door, but no one could turn the handle. In my panic I reached up and ripped the charm from my neck. The door opened right away.
My mother fixed the necklace and a couple of weeks ago I placed it around my neck again. That night I was sitting watching television with my little sister when we started to get tired. We turned off the TV and went to stand up. Both of us didn't move though as we still stared at the TV. A girl stood there looking at us from behind the couch. We both turned our heads to look but she wasn't there. Feeling that the TV was playing tricks on us with something over there, we did varius tests to see if something could be showing us the girl in the television that still hadn't move. Nothing was making the girl stand in the TV. Thinking that this had anything to do with my necklace, I slowly took it off. The girl disapeared.
I asked my mother that night, with my sister next to me, about the charm. It had been in the family for years, and my grandmother refused to wear it. It had a legend: A girl that was part of my family a long time ago, like an old great-great-great-aunt or something, had the necklace. She wasn't even ten years old when she died. And every one who wears the necklace sees things and even her sometimes too. I know I've seen her, and I know that I could wear the charm and not be afraid.
I don't wear it though, still afraid of getting her angry and getting locked into my room. It hangs on my wall with all my other jewelry I recieved from her and other dead relatives.
